The aim of PSHE and Citizenship is to give pupils the knowledge, skills and understanding to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become well informed, active and responsible citizens. PSHE may be taught as an individual subject but it also has many cross curricular links. Subject matter taught will be appropriate to the age of the children.
This links with the pastoral care role that the school believes is so important to both the children, their parents, the church and other members of the school community.
The school encourages ecological and environmental projects and each class has it’s own gardening patch where they are free to grow flowers and vegetables.
We have an established Wildlife Area where the children are able to discover pond dipping and observe natural habitats and wildlife.
