Foundation Governor

After more than forty years teaching in Primary schools, I recently retired as Deputy Head teacher and SENCo of an Infant school. 

I have spent the past year as the SENCo at St Pius X and then helped to induct Mrs. Deakin into the post. I am delighted to have been invited onto the Governing Body as a Foundation Governor on behalf of the Diocese with the additional responsibility to oversee the effectiveness of provision, and outcomes, for pupils with additional needs. To that end I recognise the vital roles played by both teachers and parents in this work, remembering that parents are the children’s first and most important teachers.
