  • To offer a safe, secure and friendly environment in which children can enjoy a healthy nutritious breakfast under the supervision of qualified staff.
  • In accordance with the school’s healthy eating ethos to provide a nutritious breakfast served in a relaxed and supervised environment.
  • To enhance the community spirit and contribute towards the extended school role.

The Breakfast Club is open term time only, Monday to Friday, from 7.45am to 8.45am.
Breakfast is served between 7:45am and 8:00am.

Breakfast Club is held in the school hall. When children arrive, a breakfast, comprising of cereal, toast, yoghurt, water or milk is served. After breakfast the children are provided with a number of activities that they can take part in including colouring, use of computer equipment, reading or watching a film.  At the end of Breakfast Club, the children will proceed directly to their classrooms for registration. (Due to the on-going pandemic children are sat in their ‘class bubbles’ at all times and activities are restricted to those that can be undertaken in a ‘Covid secure’ manor.)

The cost of Breakfast Club is £2.50 per day for each child. This fee will be charged even if your child is absent and does not attend.  Breakfasts will continue to be free for those entitled to free school meals. (Although there is universal free meal provision for Foundation, Class 1 & 2 children, this does not extend to breakfast clubs and children who do not meet free meals entitlement eligibility criteria must pay.)

The club is fully inclusive for children from Reception to Year 6. The club has a maximum of 33 children. When applying for the club, parents should identify how many days a week they require. Places are allocated using the following priority tiers:
1) To children who have a sibling already in attendance at breakfast club.
2) To those who wish to attend the club 5 days a week.
3) To all other applications where availability is matched to requirement.
Where there are more applicants than spaces in the same priority tier, requests will be met “on a first come first served basis”.
