Supporting our Local Community
Mini Vinnies
We were delighted to welcome Katy Ramsey and Denise Carter from the St Vincent De Paul Society into our school today to help commission our Mini Vinnies, Raveena, Cody, Ryan, Ivy, Olive, Hannah, Aurora and Agnes.
The Mini Vinnies are the youngest members of the SVP organisation and as such join those who see Christ in others and aim to treat them as they would like to be treated. By showing kindness they are reflecting Christ.
The Mini Vinnies get together in primary schools and parishes across England and Wales to live out their mission of see, think, do, supporting their school community and beyond alongside the SVP.
Mini Vinnies turn concern into action by:
- making cards for those who may be sick, isolated, lonely or in prison
- visiting local care homes to sing and share stories with residents
- creating arts and crafts to share with others
- running food collections for a local food bank
- supporting other children in their school or parish
- fundraising for the SVP and other charities
- baking for others.
Year 2 are Litter Picking Heroes!
Year 2 have perfectly demonstrated one of our school values of 'service' as they actively took responsibility for looking after our local area by litter picking.
Years 5 & 6 visit The Wisdom Club
Years 5 & 6 loved performing a selection of songs and exchanging conversations with the Wisdom Club members. It was an enriching and enjoyable experience for both the children and the members.

Children in Need Talent Show 2023
The children put on another amazing performance; as always, it was so difficult to crown the winner! A big thanks to all the parents who supported their children with their acts and for all the generous donations. We raised an amazing £542.02 for Children in Need!
