‘Together in God’s loving family, we believe, we learn, we grow.’
Thank you for showing an interest in joining our school!
Our school has a unique and special ‘family feel’ which enables children to settle in well when they start at St. Pius X School. Children become accustomed to working hard and achieving high standards whilst enjoying new and ever exciting experiences in their learning. We promote the Gospel values of our Christian faith throughout our daily life and aim to create a positive and caring environment for everyone.
St Pius X is a happy and successful school with dedicated staff, supportive parents and Governing Body. We seek to inspire, challenge and motivate all of our children encouraging them to become responsible and caring citizens of the future. We aim to nurture each child’s natural gifts and talents whilst providing a broad and well-balanced education in a safe and happy environment.
We view the education of all children as a joint venture involving: children, parents, staff, governors and the wider community to which we all belong. We encourage all members of our school family to participate in every aspect of school life, as we strongly believe that working together, we can provide the very best for every child. Through this joint partnership and commitment, we welcome new members to our school to work and grow in the love of Christ.

St Pius X Catholic Primary School was founded by the Catholic Church to provide education for children of Catholic families. Whenever there are more applications than places available, priority will always be given to Catholic children in accordance with the oversubscription criteria outlined in our admissions policy.
Everyone applying for a place at St Pius X must submit an online application through Essex County Council, however if you wish to apply for a place at St Pius X under a faith criterion you must also provide the school with:
1) A completed Supplementary Information Form (SIF)

These documents must be supplied directly to the school office before the application closing date on 15th January 2022.
If you are moving into the area, or wish to transfer to St Pius X from another school you will need to make an online Mid-Year application through Essex County Council.
We highly recommend that you contact the school office before applying for a place so that we can advise you if we have places available in the year group you require.
In addition to their right of appeal, children who's applications have been unsuccessful are offered the opportunity to be placed on our waiting list. Anyone wishing to be added to the waiting list must provide the school with:
