- Year 4 - Globe Theatre08:15 - 16:00Dear parents/Carers 28th March 2025 Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre London – Friday May 23rd 2025 The trip to the Globe Theatre has been booked for Friday 23rd May. This coincides with our English topic Macbeth. In addition the children are studying the construction of bridges in IPC. Whilst we are in London the children will take the opportunity to look at the many bridges, in particular Tower Bridge. The children will be travelling by train. They will need to be at school by 08:15am on the day and will walk to the train station. On return you will be notified by parentmail once the children have caught the train from Liverpool Street to Chelmsford of their time of arrival at Chelmsford station. We aim to be arriving back for pick up at Chelmsford Station at around 4:00pm. You will be notified by parentmail when the children leave Liverpool Street as to the expected time of arrival at Chelmsford station. Your child will need a packed lunch for the day. Please do not include sweets or glass bottles. and ensure that plastic bags are used rather than lunch boxes, then after lunch the whole bag can be thrown away. Children should wear full school uniform, please be mindful of the weather. It is necessary to ask for a contribution of £ 18.79 per child, to ensure the visit takes place. If we do not get enough contributions the trip may have to be cancelled. Although we reserve the right to exclude children from the visit on the grounds of unacceptable behaviour, it is not our wish to exclude any child on the grounds of financial difficulty. If there are any issues regarding payment, please do not hesitate to speak to either myself or Mrs Robinson. Yours sincerely J Thompson Miss Thompson
