School Meals – Price increase from Monday 6^th June 2022.

 

After many years of the price remaining unchanged, there will be a 30p increase in the daily charge for a school meal, effective from 6^th June 2022. This will mean that the cost of a school meal will be £2.50 per day. Unfortunately, this increase has been necessary due to rising costs across the catering function which the school cannot afford to subsidise. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will continue to receive Universal Infant Free School Meals.

 

St Pius X is committed to providing high quality meals to all the children and believes that this is important to the overall development of children, including their educational progress. We are sure you will agree that £2.50 per day or £12.50 per week still represents good value as the children receive freshly made meals which are nutritionally balanced and contain locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.
