Loki's Wolves
Loki’s Wolves, by K.L. Armstrong and M.A. Marr
Do you like stories of myths and legends? This story is set in the present, but brings the Norse myths to life!
Matt and his friends are descendants of Norse Gods - as in, Thor and Loki. You see, Norse Gods can die - and they did, centuries ago. Of course, the tales of their extraordinary adventures and battles are retold and remembered in the town of Blackwell, South Dakota (USA).
For Matt and his friends, this doesn't seem to be making much of a difference to their lives though - they're still ordinary kids doing ordinary things. That is, until the evil Ragnarok comes to Earth to destroy it. I guess passing exams and handing in your homework on time are now the least of Matt's worries. The kids have to stand in for their God-descendants. Usually, only Gods can truly defeat Gods. Will being a descendant be enough to defeat Ragnarok? Matt and his friends, Fen and Laurie, are in a race against time to find Thor's hammer and try to stop the end of the world. And you're invited along for the ride!
This book is written by two wonderful authors and is the first in The Blackwell Pages series. This is the first series both authors have written for children (as both usually write for YA and adult) and it is done superbly!
